 Pickups in the Pines

Searching for my dog who ran into the woods, I stumbled on a cemetery of trucks in the pine forest of Severn Wharf near Achilles, Virginia .The paint on the 1948 "flathead" V-8 Ford F-1 was shiny, between the flakes of rust. Spiders were building cities inside their cabs.
My brother Scott said: " Death is an old junk automobile. In the end, children play on you. "
