American Parades celebrates Carnivals, historical parades, Independence Days, and Memorial Days. Words do not capture the feelings of American parades, so I offer photographs of them; parades long and short, old and new, gay and straight, memorable and magical.
Here are American parades from the oldest USA July 4th Independence Day in Bristol, to a Colorado Rodeo Parade, a New York City Pride parade, Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown, the Norfolk NATO Parade, and even Memorial Day in Portsmouth.
It’s all here. American parades cherish our heritage, thank those who have protected our freedom, and show us who we are. American parades capture a spirit of equality and equal rights. An American parade is a unique blend of freedom, theatre, pride, symphony, ventriloquism and history. Old or young, everybody loves a parade. So hear the fife . . . beat the drum . . . and join Americans on Parade.
