Bahama Spaces is my hardcover photography book. When you purchase the book, you are part of a solution: I donate all proceeds directly to people in Grand Bahama to help them restore their homes.
MISSION: Bahama Spaces is a 15 year project of photographic activism. My goal is to fund the restoration of homes for those Bahamians affected by the recent hurricane. This is a book of stories and photographs, visions of timeless lighthouses, churches and hidden places that have deep cultural relationships between the people and their land.
YOUR PART: When you order Bahama Spaces, with your credit card through Blurb.com, you preview the book, it ships to you direct, and I donate $100 of the $130 book price to the emergency relief for Grand Bahama. Join me and over 200 people who've shown extraordinary compassion and caring to help restore homes to Bahamian people.
BACK STORY: Sailing throughout the Bahamas islands, I have seen the triumphant spirit and resilience of the Bahamian people. As a photographic activist, in the tradition of photographers Lewis Hine and Magnum photographer Susan Meiselas, I seek to use photography to make a direct, positive change in the lives of these islanders.
